Newton's Second Law:

The second law states the following: the acceleration of an object as produced by a net force is directly proportional to the magnitude of the net force, in the same direction as the net force, and inversely proportional to the mass of the object. In other words, the more force applied to an object, the faster it accelerates. Take someone pushing a car, for example. The car accelerates a little bit. Then, someone else decides to help. the car accelerates a bit more.
